COLT Hunstman.22LR Rare Serial Number Collector Pistol A very rare Colt, Double ‘S’ Huntsman, semi-automatic pistol chambered for the.22 long rifle cartridge. Manufactured in 1976. In 1969 Colt restarted serial numbers with a 00 prefix at 001001S. That series reached 099999S in 1976, then passed 100000S and reached 101336S before it was noticed by Colt that numbers used in 1952 were being duplicated. In order to salvage the 1,336 guns already numbered past 100000S, they were hand stamped with an “S” prefix as well as having the “S” suffix, thus creating the “Double S” variation.
All known examples are Huntsman pistols. This particular pistol is one of the 1,336 “Double S” pistols. Alien shooter 3 free download full version pc game. Xforce keygen 64 bits 2016.
The left side of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt over “HUNTSMAN” and the left side of the slide is marked “COLT” followed by the two line caliber designation. The serial number is marked on the right side of the frame. Blade front and windage adjustable rear sights, smooth trigger, blue Colt marked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips. This rare gun is in excellent condition. The only issues I can find are a small chip on the right grip, below the screw hole is missing and the right front part of the slide is speckeled looking. You cannot feel it but you can see it.
Hello, I just bought a Colt Targetsman. It's in beautiful condition and is a sweet gun to shoot.
Colt Huntsman .22 Serial Numbers
I am concerned that the slide does not lock back after firing the last cartridge in the magazine. A friend of mine told me that this gun was manufactured before this feature was built in. This seems plausible to me although I can't find anything online that says this is true.
I have another older Colt automatic pistol manufactured in 1955, not a Woodsman or Targetsman, that does lock back upon firing the last cartridge and I did not think the Targetsman was older than that. Can anyone tell me if this is the way the pistol should operate or is it malfunctioning? Thanks in advance.

I could look up a value from one of the reference books, but you'll get a better answer if you go to antiqueguns.com and check the auctions to see what they are bringing on the auctions. NThe pistol was made in 1889.
There were 3,999 pistols, in both.38 Colt and.41 Colt, made that year. If the weapon is marked 'Lightning' on the barrel, it was sold through Hartley & Graham of New York. The.41 was called 'Thunderer.' Neither were names applied by Colt. Hartley & Graham named them, & the.44 WCFs it sold 'Colt's Frontier Sixshooter,' with a mark on the barrel. Model 1878 DAs in.44 WCF, sold through Hartley & Graham, were marked 'Colt's New Frontier Sixshooter.' H&G, originally Schuyler, Hartley & Graham, was a major wholesaler that also sold retail by mail.
From 1883 until 1921 it owned Remington. The best I can help you is that the firearm was manufactured between 1943 & 1947 (sorry I can't narrow it down more.) As for the value of the firearm, there are many factors that come into play. First how much of the original bluing is still intact. Has it been modified? And the general overall condition of the firearm.
Plus if you have the original holster it helps the value also. So to finally answer your question with a broad range I have seen them in my travels from $500 - $1000. I also add that I love mine!
